ADVICE FOR THE NEWLYWEDS

Before the big day: feel confident in front of the camera

The chances are you're not unphotogenic. You're just not confident yet - and that's completely normal, because you don't know the process.

Here's what we want you to know before we work together.

A woman in a wedding dress is getting out of a black taxi, and a man in a suit is helping her. The woman is holding a bouquet and is reaching her hand out to the man. The scene is taking place on a city street with historic buildings in the background.

01 — Choose someone you truly trust

Reviews and portfolios matter, but they're not enough. Get on a call with us or better yet, meet us for a coffee. Make sure we're people you'd feel comfortable being yourself around - because the difference between knowing and not knowing the person behind the camera changes everything. If you can , take an engagement session, do it. Even if it feels unnecessary. It's your chance to experience what working together actually feels like, before the day that counts.

02 — Tell us your insecurities

We mean it. If there's a side you prefer, an angle that makes you self-conscious, something you'd rather we avoid - tell us. We can't see what we don't know. When couples share this with us, it's genuinely an honor, and it changes the entire experience. We'll either work around what bothers you, or find a direction that helps you feel good in every single photo.

03 — Don't stop moving

Unless we ask you to hold still for a moment, keep moving. Small head tilts, shifting your weight, adjusting your arms - it all adds life and variety. And if something funny happens around you, react. Breaking the pose never ruins the photo, we promise. Think of our directions as guidance, not a script. The real moments almost always happen in between.

04 — A few posing things that always help

Never lock your arms straight - a soft bend at the elbow transforms the whole silhouette. Same with legs: shift your weight onto one side, pop a hip slightly, bring one knee gently forward. And find your angle before the day: record yourself at home, figure out which side you prefer, and practice pulling your shoulders back with your chin slightly forward and down. You'll see the difference immediately.

YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A MODEL. YOU JUST NEED TO FEEL SAFE - AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE'RE HERE FOR.
